It is located along the Krka River in central Dalmatia few kilometers from the city of Šibenik.

Krka National Park has a rich flora and fauna with more than 860 species and subspecies of plants (including several endemic Illyrian-Adriatic species) and 18 species of fish, among which ten are endemic. Withe more than 22 birds species, NP Krka is the ornithologically one of the most valuable regions of Europe.

Krka National Park is well known for its high waterfalls with cascades called Skradinski buk. Skradinski buk has 17 waterfalls with height difference of almost 50 m. Skradinski buk is considered to be one of the most beautiful calcium carbonate waterfalls in Europe.

Šibenik
