Camping Croatia Stobreč - Split

Dear visitors and guests,

Welcome to Camping Stobreč - Split web pages. We believe that these pages contain all necesities for your pleasant stay in the harmony of nature, culture and fun. In and around our new camp there are numerous things that will help make yur vacation unforgettable.

Camping is situated on beautiful coast in middle Dalmatia, within administrative borders of the east part of city of Split, in city district Stobreč. Camp is 6 km away from Diocletian's palace and the same distance is to ancient remains of Salona. It is situated within beautiful green forest, sorrounded on two sides by sea and on the third by river mouth of ®rnovnica. Even on the hottest day there is a mild and refreshing breeze in the camp because of the camp's position on the penninsula and vicinity of the river with dense vegetation that creates rich shades.
Camping just outside Split! People of Split have a simple and convincing argument when they praise beauty of their home town and its sorrounding: powerful emperor Diocletian could have built his magnificent residential palace anywhere in the vast Roman empire. Place he chose is today the biggest town in Dalmatia, center of which is still Diocletian's palace.
Split, is "the most beautiful and craziest town in the world" according to all of those who experienced its unique charm: situated on the most indented part of the Adriatic coast. Mountains Mosor and Kozjak are in the back, rivers Jadro and ®rnovnica on each side and in front islands Brač, ©olta and Čiovo. It is known for its mild climate with over 2700 hours of sun through the year. With its 1700 years of existance it is even today the most important monument of its kind. City is filled with cultural and historical landmarks that live today in the unique symbiosis of tradition and modernity. Salona, Klis and Stobreč are only few localities of Roman period in the sorrounding area of the city, which, by legend, indebts its Greek name Aspalathos to a flower which blossoms every spring and paints the town yellow.
It is easy to get accustomed to a slow rhythm characteristical to Split. Plazas, restaurants and coffee bars crawling with people, and 'riva', popular place for walks, in the summer cooled by landward breeze and in the winter protected by Mediterrenean sun and strong walls of the palace, creates a feeling of holiday. One can say shortly that here anyone can feel at home.
